Point and Shoot Camera
Posted in Personal, Point and Shoot on May 28, 2009| 2 Comments »
I am so sad, my point and shoot camera is dying. I tried to take a picture the other night and it wouldn’t focus automatically – in any setting! It does focus after I zoom (sometimes) . This is not the time for it to die! Can you see, the lens cover does not completely close.
I keep my camera in my purse in a light weight fabric baggy. I guess it needed more protection, you’ll never know what you would find inside my purse.

Lands’ End – A Giveaway
Posted in Uncategorized on May 26, 2009| 2 Comments »
I haven’t done anything like this before, but there is always a first time.
There is this lady that writes “I Should Be Folding Laundry“ that gets free things from companies and then she like to give them away to other people. I think I like her. Anyway, she has this $100.00 Lands’ End certificate that she wants to give away.
To get in the give away, in the comment section, tell her what you are going to do this summer that you are excited about. You can also feel free to head over to to Lands’ End website to see what you would buy with your $100 and come back and tell her because she is nosey like that. So go over and maybe you’ll win, I hope so.
Last Sunday – Livermore, CA

Trinity Baptist Church
Arrived in Livermore last Saturday afternoon at about 3:00 pm. Earlier on the day Fermin called Jack Roberts, director of missions for Costameda Baptist Association and invited him and his wife Becky for dinner. Sometimes we dine with the director of mission of the association and sometimes with the pastor of the church where Fermin preaches on that particular Sunday. Is nice sometimes to just sit down and have a relaxed dinner.
The weather was something else. Saturday morning Fresno was already in the 80’s and when we arrived in Livermore it was somewhat cooler, but by the time we left for dinner it was cold – unusually cold – like in the mid 50’s. The wind was cooold. Sometimes I forget how different one area is from another in this wonderful state of ours, but this time Livermore was colder than normal.

Thursday morning my little granddaughter Seanna “graduated” from Pre-School (I know you don’t graduate from pre-school, but indulge me, please). Carlos and Heather set up a “site” where the grandparents could be apart of this event. I saw Seanna show off her certificate, I even took pictures – not very good pictures, but nevertheless I took pictures. Thank you Carlos and Heather for this unexpected gift. It helps a little being able to be a part of events like this one.
Jenness Park

I knew Jenness Park is open to whoever wants to rent it, whether it is one person, a family or a church group. Last week end I heard so many stories of families that had taken the opportunity this place has to offer.
While I was there for the Ministers’ Wives Retreat I saw all the wonderful improvements they have made. It was great before, but now is even better.
