The Clock In My Blog Was on UTC-0 (?)

From the very begining I notice I could schedule my posts through out the week, but the clock was all discombobulated (here’s that word again).  If I wanted my post to appear the same day at 11:00 pm I would  wait for the evening to come and then schedule it for the next calendar day at 7:00 am - Ha? It took me a while to get the hang of it but I used this system and it worked for me.

Last night I decided to get into Word Press and see if I could fix the clock.  I went into “Settings” then clicked on “Timezone” and set it to  UTC -8 and it was done.  What is UTC? and why is this set to UTC?  I guess it has to do with the world time.  I looked it up and still did not make any sense, but I fixed the clock and that is all that matters, right?

Then I saw this picture (I’m a picture person) if I had seen this map I would have understood it sooner.  Yeah for pictures!
